Litigation and arbitration is one of the core and key practice areas of UGB.
We are not afraid to take over sensitive cases, as we have a wealth of experience ranging from complex cases before the Slovak Supreme Court, the Slovak Constitutional Court, and the European Court of Human Rights, to simple cases concerning payment orders where we have represented corporations as well as private clients. After taking over the case, we thoroughly analyze all options available and, if the client gives us a green light, we always prefer resolving the dispute out-of-court.
We represent clients at all stages of judicial or arbitration proceedings, including judicial reviews of administrative authorities’ decisions. We deal with cases primarily in the areas of civil and commercial law, employment law, real estate, tax law, competition law, the law for bills of exchange and promissory notes, media law and personality protection, intellectual property law, medical law, family law, and bankruptcy law.
